Publication Ethics

Jurnal Asa Psikologi Positif is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. This statement is based on the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and aims to ensure that all parties involved—authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—adhere to the principles of academic integrity.

Allegations of Ethical Misconduct

Suspected ethical misconduct, including data fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, duplicate publication, and manipulation of the peer-review process, will be handled in accordance with COPE guidelines. Manuscripts under suspicion will be investigated, and if misconduct is confirmed, they may be rejected prior to publication or retracted if already published.

Authors’ Responsibilities

Authors are required to:

  • Submit original work that is free from plagiarism.

  • Properly acknowledge all sources cited or referenced.

  • Not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously.

  • Include all individuals who have made significant contributions as authors.

  • Notify the editor promptly if a significant error is identified in a submitted or published manuscript.

Reviewers’ Responsibilities

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Maintain the confidentiality of the manuscripts under review.

  • Provide objective, honest, and timely evaluations.

  • Not use unpublished material from the manuscript for personal purposes.

  • Decline the review if there is a conflict of interest.

Editors’ Responsibilities

Editors are responsible for:

  • Ensuring a fair, objective, and non-discriminatory editorial process.

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of manuscript information.

  • Avoiding conflicts of interest in the decision-making process.

  • Taking appropriate action in cases of publication ethics violations, such as plagiarism or data manipulation.

Publisher’s Responsibilities

The publisher is responsible for:

  • Supporting editors in maintaining the quality and integrity of the publication process.

  • Ensuring that editorial decisions are not influenced by commercial interests.

  • Providing a transparent and accountable publication system.

Plagiarism Screening

All submitted manuscripts will be screened using plagiarism detection software (e.g., iThenticate). Manuscripts with a similarity index above 25%, or more than 3% per individual source, will be returned to the authors for revision or rejected.
