Author Guideline

1. General Policy

Jurnal Asa Psikologi Positif adopts the standards of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA), 7th Edition for manuscript structure (IMRaD: Introduction, Method, Results, and Discussion) as well as citation and reference style. Manuscripts that do not comply with APA formatting will be immediately rejected (desk rejection) by the editor.


2. Manuscript Preparation

  • File Format: Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).

  • Template: Authors are required to use the journal’s official template, which can be downloaded from the journal website.

  • Language: Manuscripts must be written in Indonesian.


3. Manuscript Structure

Title

  • The title must be concise, clear, informative, and engaging.

  • Maximum of 20 words.

  • Avoid abbreviations and mathematical formulas.

  • The title should accurately reflect the main content of the article and be unambiguous.

Author Names and Affiliations

  • Authors’ full names should be written without academic titles or ranks.

  • Affiliations must be stated completely, including department, faculty (if applicable), and institution/university.

  • Authors should be listed according to their contribution to the research.

Abstract

  • Written in Indonesian and English.

  • Maximum 200 words in a single paragraph.

  • Includes background, objectives, methods, results, conclusions, and research implications.

  • Should not contain abbreviations or references.

Keywords

  • Provide 4–5 relevant keywords.

  • Arranged alphabetically and separated by semicolons (;).

  • Avoid overly general or excessively long keywords.

Introduction

Contains the research background, brief literature review, research originality, problem formulation, and research objectives. The use of secondary citations is discouraged.

Method

Describes in detail the materials and procedures used to allow replication of the study, including participants, instruments, and data collection procedures.

Results

Presents research findings systematically. Tables and figures should be used to support the presentation of results. The results must address the research hypotheses or questions.

Discussion

Interprets the findings by comparing them with previous studies. This section should also discuss the strengths and limitations of the study. Avoid repeating results verbatim.

Conclusion and Recommendations

Presents clear main conclusions based on the results and discussion, along with practical implications or suggestions for future research.

Acknowledgments

Acknowledges parties who contributed to the research, including funding agencies (full name and grant number, if applicable), as well as individuals who assisted but do not qualify as authors.


4. References

  • Priority should be given to primary sources, preferably published within the last 10 years.

  • All cited references must appear in the reference list and vice versa.

  • References must follow APA 7th Edition format.

  • For non-English sources, provide an English translation of the title in square brackets [ ].

  • Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote.


5. Tables and Figures

  • All tables and figures must be cited and explained in the text.

  • Tables and figures should follow APA formatting standards.

  • Figures must be of high quality and clearly readable.


6. Manuscript Submission

Manuscripts must be submitted online through the journal’s official platform. Manuscripts that do not comply with the guidelines or are submitted via email will not be processed.


7. Revision Process

  • Revised manuscripts must be submitted with changes clearly marked (track changes or highlights).

  • Authors must provide a written response to reviewers’ comments, indicating page and line numbers.

  • Revisions must be submitted within two weeks; otherwise, the manuscript will be considered withdrawn and must be resubmitted.

  • Deadline extensions may be granted at the editor’s discretion.


8. After Acceptance

Authors will receive access to the online copyediting system to perform final corrections related to layout, tables, and figures. Major revisions are only permitted with editorial approval. Authors must ensure that all corrections are submitted completely.


9. Copyright and Publication Fee

Authors are required to transfer copyright to the publisher upon acceptance of the manuscript. Authors will be informed of the Article Processing Charge (APC) and will receive a DOI and article link for dissemination.


10. Article Promotion

Authors are encouraged to promote their published articles through:

  • Personal or institutional social media

  • Presentations at seminars and conferences

  • Podcasts or other media platforms

  • Infographics, short videos, or visual abstracts


11. Manuscript Withdrawal

  • Withdrawal of a manuscript after the review process is subject to a fee of IDR 250,000 (USD 25).

  • Withdrawal after acceptance may result in the author being blacklisted for two years.

  • Withdrawal requests will be processed only after full payment of the penalty.

  • Non-compliance may result in blacklisting of the author and affiliated institution, and removal of previously published articles from the system.
